Christianity Explored

What is the best news you have ever heard? Was it surprising? Did it change the way you think? Or was it something you wanted to be true but didn’t dare hope?

Christianity Explored is a relaxed and informal way to discover the best news ever, and gives you space and time to think about the big questions of life.

Looking at the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in Mark’s Gospel, this seven-session series shows that at the heart of Christianity is the best news you could ever hear.

It sounds good… but is it true? Whatever you believe, Christianity Explored offers you an opportunity to explore, to discuss and to discover the hope, peace and purpose Jesus offers.

Who is Christianity Explored for?
It’s for anyone who is looking for hope, peace, and purpose. Whether you have previous experience of Church, Christians and the Bible, or none at all, this course is for you. Everyone is welcome!

What goes on?
We try to run the course in-person where we can, but when restrictions deem it necessary we run it on Zoom. There’s a video to watch, a dip into an account of Jesus’ life and something to discuss. We start at 7.30pm with a cup of tea and end the evening by 9.00pm.

Of course, if you wish, you are welcome to stick around a bit longer and discuss any further issues you might have. What’s more, you can ask any question you like, at any time during the course.

When does it start?
Early 2025

Where is it?
We will meet at the Dornoch Free Church building on Church Street, the post code is IV25 3LP.
